Big News

This month makes two years that Machinist! has been in existence. In the past two years we’ve put out an EP, been on several comps, made about a million pieces of merch, had one van fire, and toured a ton. We have worked hard and met some of the raddest people on the planet through this band. It only seems fitting that two years to the month this happens. We are proud to announce that we have joined the Speedowax Records family. We will be recording and releasing a 7” with them around October November. Speedowax has released records for Down to Nothing, Melt Banana, and even the Ataris. More recently bands like Will to Die, katoSuper Mutant, and Deathbed. We’re excited about this opportunity  If your excited for a new record this year let us know. Two shows with the homies in VICE HC in April and then nothing until June tour. See you on the road.

BLACK LIST, BY MACHINIST!
Machinist!’s debut EP, “Black List”, is everything you could ask for in a hardcore record. Well, almost. The band, who got together in 2010, recently released their long overdue record earlier this month, and it’s everything I wanted out of it. I just wish there was more. Each song is raw, sludgy, and heavy hitting, with relatable lyrics ranging from finding your own path as a human being to a blatant disregard for authority. While each song is excellent, it just seems like 7 minutes just isn’t enough! Here’s to hoping the boys (and Ashley) get back in the studio soon!
